Hi I'm Eric and thanks for visiting FeedingMobile.

I have been involved with the cell phone industry since 2002. I love seeing how such a small portable device can help our lives so much. Cell phones are in a unique position to really make an impact because people carry them wherever they go. Cell phones have enabled people in places without landline phone infrastructure to connect with loved ones, manage their money, and get timely information from text messages and the web. For us, who are much more privileged, our phones can take photos with quality surpassing early digital cameras, get up-to-date maps with traffic and weather conditions, and connect with everyone through the web.

My personal story on phones
I used to treat phones as just an emergency tool so I could call for help if there was an emergency. I always stuck to whatever phone I could get for the lowest cost and that usually meant free. But on a canoeing trip my phone got water damage when my canoe capsized. I was still on a contract so I had to buy another cell phone. I spent a few days researching phones to find what I could buy that would give me the best features for my money. I ended up buying a Sony Ericsson T616 which had, at the time, a quite rare combination of an integrated camera, color screen, bluetooth, and Java support. I started to take photos of so many random things since I always had it with me. I played very impressive 3D Java games like Splintered Cell 3D. I could even browse the web if I wanted to. It definitely opened my eyes to the possibilities of phones. Since then I've only purchased phones outside my carrier for myself to get the latest technology.

Disclaimers
As with anything, when you're really into something you're usually neck deep in it and it's hard to be objective anymore. So in case you think I'm biased I'll let you know how I'm currently associated with the wireless industry. I own Research in Motion (RIM) stock. I'm primarily a GSM user and use Rogers, Fido, AT&T, and T-Mobile service. I'm a S60 Ambassador and, on occasion, receive Nokia phones for review from WOM World. I will thank WOM World in any review where I received the unit from WOM World for reviewing.
