Carrier sold Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will carrier lock to first SIM card

If you're considering buying a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge from a carrier, make sure you first put in the SIM card you intend to use.

Carrier sold S7 and S7 edge will be completely unlocked out of the box but will lock immediately to the carrier of the first inserted SIM card.  For those of you that recall, some carrier sold iPhone 4 behaved the same way.

Unlocked non-carrier S7 and S7 edges are not affected by the carrier lock but are regional SIM locked like previous Samsung flagships so you'll need to activate the device using a SIM local to the device before being able to use any SIM card with the device.
