Why you should buy it
If you're looking for a new iPhone off contract for under $400 range then the iPhone SE is a compelling choice. It offers the latest iPhone 6S level specs while being priced $250 lower. With the higher specs that will mean at least 2 more years of well performing iOS upgrades. It's the cheapest iPhone you can buy directly from Apple so you can feel comfortable with their great customer service. It comes in rose gold/pink too!
Why you shouldn't buy it
It's an old design released first in 2014. It has a small (for 2016) display of 4 inches. It's only $150 cheaper than an iPhone 6 from Apple and just $30 cheaper than a secondhand one. And if you're buying on contract, that $150 difference isn't that much spread over the life of the device or paid as monthly installments. If you're willing to buy a secondhand iPhone then you have a lot of choices that are almost half the cost of a SE.
For me, I'm looking at picking up a lightly used iPhone 5. It offers the same design, capable of running the latest iOS 9 well, supports most games/apps, and priced a lot lower than a new SE. So what are your thought? Will you be buying the iPhone SE?
